Overview: NHS 111 Domain Message Specification
The NHS 111 Domain Message Specification supports the following care communications:
- NHS 111 Report
- NHS 111 Ambulance Request
- CAD to CAD (999 to 999) Ambulance Request (NEW in Version: 2.1)
- NHS 111 Repeat Caller Service Query
- NHS 111 Repeat Caller Service Response
- Interaction to communicate Repeat Caller reports to a GP
The payload(s) contained in this specification do not require the receiver to have connectivity to the Spine Directory Services (SDS) to be able to fully process payloads.
Also included in this Domain Message Specification are artefacts required to instantiate the message specifications - for details click on the "Associated Specifications" tab.
Notes:
- Version: 2.1 of the NHS 111 specification offers guidance on using the Ambulance Request message as a CAD to CAD (999 to 999) Ambulance Request message - see Guidance for the Creation of an NHS 111 Ambulance Request & CAD to CAD Ambulance Request on the Associated Specifications page
- Validation tools are now downloadable from TRUD in the "NHS Interoperability Specifications Tooling Pack".
- Within this specification "greyed out" buttons are used where the artefact is either not applicable or currently unavailable.
